Hans-Werner Henze (1926-2012), one of the most well-known German composers and conductors of the 20th century, lived in Italy for almost sixty years, primarily in his famous villa ‘La Leprara’ in Marino (Rome); he also made a name for himself as a writer. In addition to Henze’s own pictorial works which are in part inspired by his compositions, photographs, manuscripts, music and personal objects of this versatile artist will also be presented in the Casa di Goethe exhibition.
