Marie Luise Kaschnitz and Ingeborg Bachmann: Conversation and book presentations with Giuliano Lozzi and Juliane Ziegler

 

 

Marie Luise Kaschnitz and Ingeborg Bachmann, who shared a deep friendship, described Rome in the same years and both offered innovative portraits of the city.

On this evening, journalist and author Juliane Ziegler and linguist and translator Giuliano Lozzi will introduce us to these extraordinary portraits of Rome and present their latest publications on Marie Luise Kaschnitz:

Juliane Ziegler is a journalist for print and radio/podcasts in Frankfurt am Main. She works for Hessischer Rundfunk, ORF, BR, chrismon and as an editor for ARD Online. She studied literature, political science and Romance studies in Osnabrück, Siena and Buenos Aires. Herzlandschaft is her first book. She began working on it during her scholarship at the Casa di Goethe in summer 2019.

Giuliano Lozzi is Associate Professor of German Language, Translation and Linguistics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research interests include the German language and literature of the twentieth century, with a particular focus on women’s literature and German-Jewish culture.
