On the occasion of the exhibition The Uncanny House, the Museum Casa di Goethe is presenting two iconic films that embody the concept of the uncanny during the Night of Museums.
While Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau’s Nosferatu from 1922 is considered one of the masterpieces of expressionist horror film, Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining from 1980 is regarded as the cult horror film of all time. The “uncanny house” that appears there reflects the concept of the exhibition, which can be seen in the museum until September 1.
